Akor Adams scored a brace and propelled Montpellier to a 3-0 thrashing of Toulouse in a French Ligue 1 encounter at the State de la Mosson on Sunday. It was their first home win of the season.
The Nigerian striker wasted no time to get his name on the scoresheet putting his side in front in the 13th minute. Midfielder Khalil Fayad made it 2-0 in the 63rd minute while Adams completed his brace in the 75th minute helping the team bounce back from the 2-0 loss to Nantes last week.
The goals take his tally of the season to seven goals in nine league games. Only Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe has scored more (10 goals in nine appearances) this season.

Adams has scored three braces this season. He previously found the back of the net twice against FC Lorient and his Ligue 1 debut against Le Havre in Montpellier’s season opener in August.
The 24-year-old has since become the first player in the club’s history to score seven goals in his first nine appearances in the league.
Despite joining in the summer from Norwegian side Lillestrom SK, the Nigerian has since become a fan favourite due to his output in front of goal.
