Chelsea are considering joining the race for AIK winger Zadok Yohanna according to Daily Mail Football reporter Kieran Gill.

The 18-year-old is attracting interest from several Premier League teams with Brighton and Newcastle understood to have made similar bids of around £20.5m.

However, Chelsea have reportedly discussed an offer worth £21.6m including bonuses for Yohanna. In recent years, the Blues have built a reputation for signing the best youngsters around the world, and they’re aiming to add the Nigerian wonderkid to their list of top talents.

Asides from Premier League sides, Real Madrid, Rennes, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are also believed to have sent staff to watch Yohanna. During AIK’s clash with Kalmar FF in April, there were 32 scouts at the game all credited with interest in the teenager.

Zadok Yohanna made a brilliant start to the 2026 Allsvenskan season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in seven appearances for AIK. The 18-year-old caught the eye due to his impressive dribbling ability, speed, aerial presence, and his decision making in the box.

His form inevitably led to a maiden Super Eagles call-up for the 2026 Unity Cup. But, the youngster was blocked by AIK from joining the national team, with the reason that he was still recovering from an injury.

Few days after that, AIK confirmed that they had opened negotiations to sell.

A statement on AIK’s website reads: “AIK has initiated negotiations regarding the sale of player Zadok Yohanna. The current bid indicates a net profit effect higher than £20m. If and when an agreement has been reached, this will be communicated.”

AIK are believed to be looking for a club and Swedish top flight record sale of around £22million, if a deal is to happen this summer.
