FC PortoFC Porto head coach Francesco Farioli has confirmed that the club will only decide Terem Moffi’s long-term future after the 2025–26 season concludes.

‎The Nigerian striker is currently on loan from OGC Nice, and his situation remains open despite an option to make the deal permanent.

‎Moffi arrived during the winter transfer window after his spell in France became unsettled, and Porto moved quickly to secure his services.

‎However, the forward has struggled to cement a regular starting role at the Estádio do Dragão, which has led to ongoing discussions about his future in Portugal.

‎Moffi has featured nine times in the league so far, with eight appearances coming from the bench. He has contributed one goal and one assist, numbers that reflect his limited playing time rather than a settled role in the squad. Despite Porto already sealing the league title, he continues to fight for consistent minutes as the campaign winds down.

‎Speaking ahead of Porto’s clash with AVS, Farioli explained that conversations remain active between the club, players, and representatives, but no final calls will come before the season ends.

“As you know, there are players whose contracts are ending and, as you can imagine. There are conversations with them and their agents to understand the situation and possible conditions,” Farioli said as reported by Ojogo.

‎”I am very grateful to them for their level of professionalism and for what they have contributed. I have a personal connection with all of them.

‎”We are about to make some decisions, but nothing will be decided before the championship final, because our focus is still on getting as many points as possible in these two games.”

‎The closing stage of the campaign presents an important window for Terem Moffi to strengthen his case at FC Porto. Now that Porto have already secured the league title, attention shifts to how he performs in the remaining fixtures, which could influence the club’s decision on a permanent transfer option.

‎Moffi now enters the final stretch of the season with his future still open, and every minute on the pitch could prove decisive.
