Nigerian sprinter Blessing Ogundiran delivered a historic performance at the Sun Conference Indoor Championships in Florida, storming to victory in the women’s 60m with a stunning personal best of 7.20 seconds, Bold Sports reports.
The time not only secured her the conference title but also equalled the longstanding NAIA record of 7.20s set in 2010 by Kimberly Smith, placing Ogundiran firmly among the fastest athletes in the association’s history.
Representing Warner University, Ogundiran was in a class of her own throughout the race. She powered out of the blocks and quickly separated herself from the field, crossing the finish line well clear of her closest challenger.

Tonyan Beckford finished second in 7.52 seconds, more than three-tenths behind the Nigerian speedster.
Ogundiran’s record-equalling run underscores her rapid rise this season and strengthens her status as one of Nigeria’s emerging sprint talents competing in the U.S. collegiate system.
