The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named Jean-Jacques Ndala to oversee the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 final, echoing his role at the tournament’s start.
The match between host nation Morocco and Senegal will be played on Sunday, 18 January 2026 (today), at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off set for 19:00 GMT.
Ndala’s appointment completes an arc, having also handled the opening game. It reflects the CAF’s confidence in a referee trusted on continental occasions.
A FIFA-listed official since 2013, the Democratic Republic of Congo referee is taking charge of his fourth Africa Cup of Nations, following appearances at the 2019, 2021 and 2023 editions.

An experienced multinational crew will assist him. Guylain Bongele Ngila and Gradel Mwanya Mbilizi of DR Congo serve as assistant referees, alongside Styven Moutsassi Moyo of the Republic of Congo. Abongile Tom of South Africa is the fourth official.
Video review duties are led by Pierre Ghislain Atcho of Gabon, assisted by Leticia Viana of Eswatini and Stephane Eleazar Yiembé of Congo, with René Daniel Louzaya acting as referee assessor.
As Morocco and Senegal contest the title, CAF’s choice highlights its emphasis on consistency and neutrality to close AFCON 2025.
