The stage is set, the stars are aligned, and the University of Lagos Sports Complex is about to be lit with energy and excitement as some of Nigeria’s most beloved social media influencers, skit makers, and entertainers gather for the much-anticipated first-ever Social Media Olympics on Sunday, July 26th.

In a rare blend of entertainment, sport, and charity, the event promises to be an unforgettable experience that fuses online clout with real-world action, all for a good cause. With proceeds from the event earmarked for charity, this is more than just a fun day out; it’s social media giving back.

The confirmed lineup reads like a VIP guest list from Nigeria’s digital hall of fame. Attendees can expect to see Alabi Lawrence, OneJonlessBoy, Lerry, Smallie, Wizarab, Yom Yom, Egungun, Hauwa, Gilmore, Pooja, Sir Jarus, and many more.

The man behind the movement is none other than Oyiga Michael, popularly known as Agenda Machine, who has been a leading voice on Nigerian social media. Speaking ahead of the event, Oyiga couldn’t contain his excitement.

“This isn’t just banter and skits, this is culture, this is energy, this is impact. We’re flipping the script by turning tweets into teamwork and clout into community,” Oyiga said.

“The Social Media Olympics will be fun, chaotic in a good way, and full of surprises. Plus, we’re doing it all to support those who need it most. If you miss it, just know your timeline won’t forgive you.”

Oyiga, who is also the founder of Sustainables, an NGO dedicated to providing children in underserved communities with better access to education, explained that the Social Media Olympics is more than just entertainment; it’s a powerful tool for change.

“We’re not just bringing influencers together for fun,” he said. “We’re creating a movement that channels attention and energy into real impact. Every laugh, every race, every viral moment helps us move one child closer to a better future.”

Spectators can expect a day filled with games, laughter, unexpected matchups, and of course, viral moments that will light up timelines across the country. From football face-offs to relay races and maybe even a few dance battles, the Social Media Olympics is already trending—before it even begins.

Attendance is open to all who want to witness their favorite online personalities show off a very different kind of skillset. You can register here.

The maiden Social Media Olympics is also in partnership with Bold Media Innovations and Creative Hub, publishers of Bold Sports, a Nigerian-centric sports news platform that showcases the exploits of Nigerian athletes home and abroad.
