Nasarawa United have been fined N6 Million and banned from playing at the Lafia City Stadium after a supporter attacked Plateau United striker Vincent Temitope during their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash on Sunday.

Nasarawa United had edged out their North Central rivals 3-2 in the thrilling match, but the game was overshadowed by a disturbing video showing Vincent Temitope receiving treatment for a neck injury after he was stabbed.

The Plateau United striker had missed a penalty before going on to score a goal during the encounter, reducing the deficit after Nasarawa United led 2-0 courtesy of strikes from leading goalscorer Anas Yusuf and Leonard Ugochukwu.
