Victor Osimhen was on target for Napoli on their return to winning ways dominating Udinese in a 4-1 rout at the State Diego Armando Maradona in an Italian Serie A encounter on Wednesday.
The Nigeria international who has been at loggerheads with the club over perceived racist remarks during the week over trolling videos about him on their official TikTok handle scored the second goal for the hosts putting them 2-0 up in the 39th minute. Piotr Zielinski had put thePartenopei in front in the 19th minute.
Osimhen did not celebrate the goal with teammates as he usually does but ran to the touchline to hug Danish midfielder Jesper Lindstrom, but ignored coach Rudi Garcia.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made it 3-0 in the 74th minute. The goal was his first of the season. The visitors cut the deficit in the 80th minute through Lazar Samardzic while Giovanni Simeone put the game beyond the visitors making it 4-1 in the 81st minute.
There had been doubts whether Osimhen would be in the lineup for today’s game against Udinese but was however called up for the encounter by manager Rudi Garcia who had a touchline spat in their goalless draw against Bologna over the weekend. The tension before the start of the game was sky-high after the incidents on Tuesday which led to Osimhen’s representative Robert Calenda threatening legal actions against the club.
On Wednesday, Osimhen conspicuously deleted every post of him in a Napoli shirt on his Instagram profile while he’s said to be demanding an apology from the club.
