Turkish football pundit Emre Bol has praised Victor Osimhen after the Nigerian striker inspired Galatasaray to a 2-1 victory over Fenerbahçe in the Turkish Süper Lig, Bold Sports reports.
Osimhen scored twice at RAMS Park on Monday, October 26, to secure three points for Galatasaray in the fiercely contested Istanbul derby. His performance prompted Bol to describe the Super Eagles forward as a player capable of deciding the competition.
The Nigerian striker has now recorded nine goals and three assists in nine matches across all competitions this season. His latest brace further underlined his importance to Galatasaray’s pursuit of domestic success.
Emre Bol explains Osimhen’s influence
Speaking on the SporON YouTube channel, Bol highlighted Osimhen’s remarkable impact whenever he takes the field.
“Osimhen is too good for this league. He’s one of those guys who finishes the competition. I don’t remember another guy in years who, when he’s on the field, has such a 100% impact on the game. He’s a guy who leaves his mark on the game and has a 100% impact,” he said as reported by Turkish outlet Habersarikirmizi.

Bol also praised the striker’s consistency across different competitions. He believes Osimhen’s passion for football sets him apart from other players.
“Osimhen is like this in every match. Champions League, Super League… He plays brilliantly in every game. He’s like those kids in the neighborhood who play football from morning till night. The guy loves playing football. He’s a very different player. You can’t find a player like him.”
Osimhen settles the Fenerbahçe derby
Osimhen delivered his goals in the first half, putting Galatasaray in control before the break.
He opened the scoring in the 29th minute after receiving a pass from Barış Alper Yılmaz. The striker finished with a powerful left-footed effort to give the hosts the lead.

He struck again in the 44th minute, heading home after Davinson Sánchez sent the ball back towards goal. Galatasaray entered half-time with a comfortable two-goal advantage.
Fenerbahçe responded in the 62nd minute through İrfan Can Kahveci. However, the visitors could not find an equaliser as Galatasaray held on for victory.
Galatasaray strengthen their title challenge
The victory lifted Galatasaray to 22 points from nine league matches. They moved six points clear of fifth-placed Fenerbahçe, who remained on 16 points.
Osimhen’s performance also reinforced his reputation as one of the club’s most influential attacking players.
The Nigerian forward previously scored 37 goals in all competitions during the 2024/25 campaign.
With the season continuing, Galatasaray will hope their prolific striker maintains his scoring form as they pursue another league title.
