Super Eagles striker, Umar Sadiq, has made the exclusive list of the 50 players projected to make the most impact in the 2022/23 league season across Europe according to respected sports analytic website, theanalyst.com/eu.
The 25-year-old is the only Nigerian on the list despite the impressive performance of Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, who scored 18 goals in 32 games across all competitions in the 2021/22 season where he was named Serie A best U-23 player.
Sadiq in the 2021/22 season scored 18 goals while providing 12 assists in 36 league games to help Almeria finish top of the Spanish Segunda and gaining promotion to the topflight.
Since helping his side gain promotion, the Nigeria international has been on the radar of several top clubs in Europe such as Villarreal, Valencia, Newcastle United and a host of others. It however, remains to be seen if Almeria will be able to keep hold of him for the season.
He is the player with the highest number of non-penalty goals involvement in the 2021/22 season (27 from 36 games).
