Terem Moffi is reportedly set to undergo a medical at Hamburger SV on Saturday after the German Bundesliga club reached an agreement with OGC Nice to sign the Nigerian forward permanently.
According to transfer expert Fabrice Hawkins, Hamburger reached a verbal agreement with Nice on Friday for the 27-year-old, with the deal understood to be worth a fixed €2 million plus a further €500,000 in potential add-ons.
Personal terms have also reportedly been agreed, with Moffi expected to sign a contract that will keep him at the German club until 2029.
The move could provide Moffi with an opportunity to rebuild his career after a turbulent end to his time at Nice and an eventful second half of the 2025/26 campaign.

Moffi spent the latter part of last season on loan at Portuguese giants Porto, where he made 15 appearances, scoring twice and providing one assist. He was part of the Porto squad that won the Liga Portugal title, their first league triumph since 2022.
His temporary move to Portugal came after a difficult period at Nice, following a serious incident involving Moffi and some of his teammates. The players were subjected to violent attacks by fans amid the club’s poor run of form.
Moffi and his representatives subsequently took legal steps in an attempt to terminate his contract with Nice. However, a loan move to Porto ultimately emerged as the preferred solution, allowing the Nigerian striker to continue his career away from the difficult situation.
Before his departure from Nice, Moffi recorded 24 goals and five assists in 72 appearances across all competitions for the French club.

Terem Moffi had previously established himself as a prolific scorer during his time at Lorient, where he registered 35 goals and six assists in 90 appearances.
The forward‘s goalscoring record also includes impressive spells earlier in his career. He scored 21 goals in 32 appearances for Lithuanian club Riteriai before moving to Belgium, where he found the net five times in 11 matches for Kortrijk.
With his proposed move to Hamburger now approaching completion, Moffi will be hoping to put the difficulties of his recent past behind him.
A permanent switch to Germany could offer the Nigerian international the fresh start he needs as he looks to rediscover his best form and establish himself once again as a reliable goalscorer at the highest level.
