Super Eagles legend Sunday Oliseh has applauded Chelsea following their impressive 2-1 victory over Premier League champions Liverpool at Stamford Bridge, singling out teenage sensation Estevao Willian for special praise.
The Blues came into the encounter seeking redemption after back-to-back league defeats to Manchester United and Brighton. They started brightly and were rewarded early when Moisés Caicedo fired home a stunning long-range strike in the 14th minute to hand Enzo Maresca’s side the lead.
Liverpool, however, responded through Cody Gakpo, who slotted in from close range after a clever assist from club-record signing Alexander Isak. But just when it seemed both sides would share the spoils, Brazilian youngster Estevao Willian stole the show, finishing off a flowing team move in the final minute to net his first-ever Premier League goal and secure a crucial win for Chelsea.

Reacting to the thrilling encounter on his official X account, Oliseh expressed his admiration for Chelsea’s display and for the 18-year-old winger’s dazzling performance.
“Rarely lately have I gotten the opportunity to say this, but Chelsea were impressive today. Loved Caicedo’s thunderstrike for 1st goal and… this Estevao player has everything to be a superstar! Mama mia, what a player! E wan kill Liverpool left back, oh my God!”
The win lifted Chelsea to sixth place on the Premier League table with 11 points, while Liverpool dropped to second with 15 points, one behind leaders Arsenal.
Chelsea will look to build on their momentum after the international break when they travel to face Nottingham Forest on October 18. Liverpool, meanwhile, will aim to bounce back as they host Manchester United at Anfield a day later.
