Remo Stars will look to rewrite their continental script when they face Moroccan opponents ASFAR in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round on Sunday in Ikenne.
The Nigerian outfit is seeking retribution after being eliminated by the North Africans in the group stage qualifying round of the CAF Confederation Cup last season. Despite a commendable 1-1 draw in Rabat, Remo Stars could not capitalize at home, suffering a 1-0 defeat that ended their campaign.

Making their second consecutive appearance in the CAF Champions League, Remo Stars are determined to progress past the preliminary round, having been knocked out by Ghana’s Medeama on penalties in the previous campaign.
The team is in high spirits as a result of the contract extension of head coach Daniel Ogunmodede. They are also confident that their past experiences will be invaluable this time around.
ASFAR, who arrived in Nigeria on Friday and trained at the Ikenne Stadium on Saturday, will be aiming to replicate their 1-0 away win from the last encounter.
