Paris Saint-Germain have registered interest in signing Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman from Europa League champions Atalanta and have contacted his team ahead of a possible move.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the French Ligue 1 champions have closely monitored the impressive performances of the former Everton player and will go all out to secure his signature before the close of the summer transfer window.
The report revealed that PSG have already made contact with Lookman’s management over a possible transfer. Lookman is said to be interested in a move to the French capital but is yet to receive a concrete contract offer from PSG, neither has Atalanta received an offer for Lookman who is one of their most prized asset.
Lookman has rejuvenated his career since joining Atalanta two seasons ago scoring a total of 32 goals while providing 18 assists in 79 games across all competitions including a hattrick in a 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the final of the UEFA Europa League last season.
For a deal to materialise, PSG will need to move fast with negotiations with both player and club. Negotiations with Atalanta will be tricky as they have already lost striker Gianluca Scamacca to injury and Teun Koopmeiners who’s close to joining Juventus
Lookman is currently valued at €40 million, according to Transfermarkt.
