Precious Achiuwa was impressive for the Toronto Raptors in their 114-82 over the Utah Jazz in their first game of the 2022/23 NBA preseason.
D’Tigers forward scored 10 points off the bench while also contributing five rebounds to the win as he hopes to have a breakthrough season in the NBA.
The 10 points scored by Achiuwa was the second highest in the game behind Chris Boucher’s 11 points, 10 rebounds and one assist in 14 minutes.
For the Jazz, rookie Ochai Agbaji scored four points and two rebounds in nine minutes of action. Agbaji, a first round 14th overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2022 NBA draft was traded to the Jazz alongside Colin Sexton and Lauri Markkanen for Donovan Mitchell.
Achiuwa averaged 9.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 0.6 blocks, shooting 35.9 field goals while averaging 35.9% from beyond the three points line.
