Peter Agba’s hopes of playing in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League have been dashed after his side, Olimpija Ljubljana, were eliminated in the first qualifying round on Tuesday, Bold Sports reports.

The Slovenian champions on Tuesday lost 2-0 to Kazakh side Kairat Almaty and were eliminated 3-1 on aggregate over two legs.

The first leg, played last week at the Stožice Stadium, ended in a 1-1 draw, while Almaty secured a 2-0 victory in the return leg to progress to the second qualifying round, where they will face either KuPS or Milsami Orhei.

Agba featured for the entire duration of the match but was unable to help Olimpija advance to the next stage.

Olimpija and Agba will now shift their focus to the domestic league, which kicks off on Saturday, as they aim to defend their title.
