In-form Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will be aiming to extend his impressive scoring run in the UEFA Champions League when Galatasaray visits the Johan Cruyff Arena on Wednesday for their Matchday 4 clash against Ajax.

While Ajax will be looking to bounce back from their 5–1 thrashing at the hands of Premier League side Chelsea in their last outing, Galatasaray will be hoping to build on their fine form and secure a third consecutive victory in the competition.

After suffering an embarrassing 5–1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in their opening game, the Turkish champions have bounced back strongly with back-to-back wins, a statement 1–0 victory over Liverpool, followed by a commanding 3–1 triumph against Bodø/Glimt.

Galatasaray’s resurgence in Europe has been largely inspired by the return of Victor Osimhen, who found the back of the net in both games. The Nigerian forward scored the decisive goal against Liverpool and then struck twice against Bodø/Glimt, also playing a key role in setting up the third goal.

Having scored in two consecutive Champions League fixtures, Osimhen will be eager to continue his fine run and inspire Galatasaray to another vital win, one that could move them closer to an automatic spot in the knockout rounds.

Despite a delayed start to the season due to transfer uncertainties, fitness concerns, and a month-long injury layoff, Osimhen has rediscovered his form, netting six goals in 10 appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray this season.
