Nigeria defender, Ola Aina, is set to make his first start for Torino in over three months when they travel to the Stadio Artemio Franchi to face Fiorentina in the quarter final of the Copa Italia later today.

Aina who featured in 10 out of Torino’s first 11 games of the season in the Italian Serie A recently returned to from a Biceps femoris muscle injury that has kept him out of action on October 23 in a 2-1 win over Udinese in a game where he scored his first and only goal of the ongoing campaign. 

The 26-year-old versatile defender was handed a cameo appearance in Torino’s 2-2 draw against Empoli last Saturday coming on for Mergim Vojvoda in the 85th minute.

Ola Aina just made a comeback and is a candidate to start on Juric’s favored 3-4-2-1 formation’s left or right side. While injured Pietro Pellegri and suspended center-back Kofi Djidji will not travel to Tuscany, Ola Aina might start on either wing in that formation.

The game will be his 105th appearance for the club. He has scored two goals while providing six assists for the Turin-based side.
