Nigerian forward, Anthony Nwakaeme, has been named in the Team of The Week for Roshn Saudi League round 18 matches which took place over the weekend.
Nwakaeme who impressed and was named Man of the Match for Al-Fayha in their 1-1 draw against Al-Taawoun last week was listed to partner Al Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo who grabbed a hat-trick for Al Nassr in their 3-0 thrashing of Damac away from home to go second on the league table.
In goal, Al-Raed’s goalkeeper Silviu Lung was named the best in the position in the past week while Boris Godal from Al-Adalah, Hassan Kadesh from Al-Taawoun and Abdulelah Al-Amri from Al-Nassr were listed in defence in a 4-4-2 position.
Alvaro Medran of Al-Taawoun, Faycal Fajr from Al-Wehda, Igor Coronado from Al-Ittihad, Carlos Junior from Al-Shabab and Knowledge Musona from Al-Tai were the players preferred in midfield.
Nwakaeme who joined Al Fayha in the summer from Turkish champions Trabzonspor has impressed in the Saudi Arabian League. The 33-year-old Nigerian has found the back of the net six times in 12 appearances while providing three assists.
