…Nnadi jets out for AFCON after draw
New Super Eagles invitee Tochukwu Nnadi was in action for Zulte Waregem as they were held to a 2-2 draw by RAAL La Louvière in a Belgian Pro League clash on Saturday.
Anton Tanghe gave the hosts the lead in the 33rd minute, calmly converting from the penalty spot. However, the advantage lasted just 12 minutes as Pape Fall restored parity in the 45th minute.
Ghanaian winger Joseph Opoku put the hosts back in front in the 76th minute, raising hopes of a first win in weeks for Zulte Waregem. Those hopes were dashed deep into stoppage time when Nolan Gillot struck in the 93rd minute to earn the visitors a share of the spoils.
Zulte Waregem, who had been on a six-game winless run across all competitions, will be disappointed after failing to see out the victory ahead of a daunting fixture against defending champions and league leaders Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
Nnadi was influential in the heart of Zulte’s midfield. The former Flying Eagles midfielder picked up a yellow card in the 25th minute but completed the full 90 minutes without further sanction. It was his seventh booking of the season.

The Nigerian midfielder is expected to miss the clash against Union Saint-Gilloise as he joins the Super Eagles camp ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
