Napoli have tabled an audacious proposal to Chelsea for the transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
The Italian side are requesting striker Romelu Lukaku and young Italian midfielder Cesare Casadei to move to Naples, alongside a €45 million fee in exchange for Osimhen.
Osimhen has been the subject of intense transfer speculation this summer, with several top clubs expressing interest in the Super Eagles star. Chelsea have been long-term admirers of the Nigerian and are believed to be keen on bolstering their attacking options.
Napoli’s new manager Antonio Conte is reportedly keen on a reunion with Lukaku, with whom he enjoyed success at Inter Milan and will do all it takes to land the Belgian.

Casadei, a highly-rated young talent, has also been included in the package. The Italian midfielder joined Chelsea from Inter Milan last summer but has struggled for regular playing time.
While the offer is undoubtedly tempting, it remains to be seen whether Chelsea will accept Napoli’s proposal. The Blues have been undergoing a squad overhaul under new manager Enzo Maresca and may be reluctant to part ways with both players and a whooping €45m.
