Moses Usor has reacted to his memorable Super Eagles debut after scoring the winning goal to help Nigeria secure a 2-1 victory over Madagascar in their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
The LASK forward took to his official Instagram page after the game to express his gratitude for the opportunity, as well as the support he received from the coaching staff, his teammates and the fans.
“What a moment! Grateful for my scoring debut and for the trust and support from the coaching staff, my teammates, and the fans. This one means a lot!” Usor wrote.
The 24-year-old marked his first appearance for Nigeria in spectacular fashion, coming off the bench in the 61st minute before producing a brilliant solo effort to put the Super Eagles ahead just four minutes later.

Usor picked up the ball in Nigeria’s half before dribbling his way into the opposition box and finding the near post with a composed finish, completing a remarkable comeback after Madagascar had taken the lead in Uyo.
The goal adds to what has been an impressive start to the season for the LASK forward, who has recorded three goals and five assists in 12 appearances for the Austrian club.
Usor was also in fine form for LASK last season, registering 15 goals and 10 assists in 35 appearances as the club secured the domestic double for the first time since 1965.
Following his goalscoring debut, Usor will now look to make another impact when the Super Eagles return to action on Tuesday, September 29.
Nigeria will travel to face Guinea-Bissau in their second Group L fixture, with Eric Chelle’s side looking to build on their victory over Madagascar.
