AC Milan have accelerated plans to complete the signing of Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze from La Ligations side Villarreal.
The Nigeria international has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A giants but is awaiting a transfer contract agreement from both Milan and Villarreal. The Spanish side is requesting at least €25 to €30 million for the winger plus add-ons.
According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Chukwueze has been a key determining factor in the deal having agreed to join the project at Milan and playing with some of the youngsters at the club such as Rafael Leao and newly signed Noah Okafor.
“After closing in on Noah Okafor deal, AC Milan are working to complete also the agreement for Samuel Chukwueze,” Fabrizio Romano tweeted. “Negotiations advancing with Villarreal as the player already agreed on personal terms — he’s keen on the move.”
Chukwueze was a key player for the Yellow Submarine last scoring 12 goals and providing 11 assists in 50 games across all competitions. He has been identified as a top priority for Milan this summer and is expected to be the club’s starting right winger in the coming season.
The Nigerian is expected to undergo a medical sometime next week as it is expected that the deal is 99% done and an announcement will be made.
