Super Eagles defender Ola Aina is set to join English Premier League side Nottingham Forest ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The Nigeria international is undergoing a medical in Spain ahead of a move that will see him return to the Premier League since representing Fulham in the 2020/21 season on loan from Serie A side Torino.
Aina, a former Chelsea youth player can play as a right-back or wing-back. He made a total of 113 appearances for the Turin-based club in all competitions and found the back of the net twice.
Renowned football journalist for Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph, John Percy in a tweet said the Nigeria international on Friday was flown to Spain for a medical.
“Nottingham Forest is set to make former Torino wing-back Ola Aina their first summer signing. Aina is a free agent and flying into Spain for a medical on Friday night. His last experience of the Premier League was a loan spell at Fulham in 20/21.”
Should Aina join Forest, he will team up with his national team compatriots, Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis.
