Belgian Jupiler Pro League side KAA Gent will be demanding more than €20m for in-form Nigerian striker Gift Orban in the summer after his explosive half-season performance at the club.
Orban has scored 14 goals while providing two assists for the Belgian side in 11 appearances for the club since joining during the January transfer window from Norwegian side Stabaek for €3.3m.
The Nigerian is not lacking in potential suitors as top teams from Europe topflight are already looking at adding him to their squad.
Gent will be expecting a busy summer transfer window with interests in the 20-year-old Nigerian junior player being on the rise due to his superlative form. According to OptaJean, since his debut for Gent in February, no player has scored more goals (9) than Orban in Europe’s Top 10 leagues.
Although Gent will be looking to hold on to the Nigerian, they will be willing to let him go for the right price.
According to respected football transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano, Gent are estimating the striker to be worth over €20m.
“Gift Orban expected to be on the move this summer. Nigerian striker has 14 goals and 2 assists for Gent. Understand the 2002-born striker price tag could be more than €20m this summer with clubs already monitoring him.”
