21-year-old striker David Ankeye isn’t just joining Genoa – he’s realizing a lifelong dream. Born and raised on the streets of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Ankeye’s journey from asphalt pitches to Serie A stardom is the stuff of fairytales.

Genoa secured Ankeye’s services for €2.5 million from Moldovan giants Sheriff Tiraspol, where he impressed with eight goals in 25 games across all competitions, including appearances in the Champions League qualifiers and Europa League.
“David Ankeye is a new Genoa player. The Nigerian striker, born in Port-Harcourt on 05/22/2002, arrives from Sheriff Tiraspol permanently.
