Turkish giant Galatasaray is reportedly preparing to offer a player-plus-cash deal to Italian Serie A club Napoli for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, who has been electrifying the Turkish Super Lig with his performances.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan on September 4th after potential transfers to Chelsea and Saudi Pro League’s Al-Ahli fell through at the close of the Serie A transfer window.
Since his arrival, the Nigerian international has made a significant impact, ranking third in the league’s scoring chart with six goals in six league appearances and totaling eight goals and four assists across nine games in all competitions.
Originally, Osimhen’s move to Galatasaray was intended as a temporary step before a major transfer to another European club in England, Spain, or France—or possibly a high-value deal to Saudi Arabia. However, Galatasaray, impressed with his remarkable form, is now keen on making the transfer permanent.
Currently, Osimhen’s buyout clause stands at €120 million, which will drop to €80 million if he remains unpurchased by June 25, 2025. However, Turkish sources per FootballItalia indicate that Galatasaray is ready to include players like Davinson Sanchez, Baris Alper Yilmaz, and Yunus Akgun, along with cash, to secure the Nigerian star.
Notably, arch-rivals Fenerbahce are also reportedly monitoring the prolific striker closely.
