Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have submitted an improved bid for Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare ahead of the 2026/27 season, Bold Sports reports.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, La Viola are looking to strengthen their attack and have tabled an improved offer to Wolverhampton Wanderers for the Nigeria international. The proposed deal is a season-long loan with a €22 million option to buy.

Reports indicate that Fiorentina and Wolves are in advanced negotiations over the transfer of the 25-year-old, who joined the English club from Belgian side Genk for €26 million.

Arokodare is said to be keen on a move to Italy as he looks to revive his career after a difficult debut campaign at Wolves, where he scored six goals in 38 appearances across all competitions.

The Super Eagles forward has also been left out of Wolves’ pre-season tour of Portugal, further fueling speculation over his imminent departure. His omission suggests he is no longer a key part of the club’s plans, with Wolves expected to recover a significant portion of the fee they paid to sign him from Genk.

Fiorentina, who finished 15th in Serie A last season, will be hoping Arokodare’s arrival provides the attacking spark needed to improve their fortunes in the 2026/27 campaign.
