Edo Queens have secured their spot in the 4th edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League after a dominant 3-0 victory over Benin Republic’s Ainonvi FC in the regional qualifiers.
Goals from Suliat Abideen, Emem Essien, and another sealed Edo Queens’ qualification and completed a remarkable run in the tournament.

Under the guidance of Coach Moses Aduku, the team showcased their strength throughout the competition, beginning with a convincing 5-0 win over Niger’s As Garde. They followed that up with victories over Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies (3-0) and Burkina Faso’s Omni Etincelle (1-0).
In the semi-finals, Edo Queens faced local rivals Inter D’Abidjan and emerged victorious with a 2-1 win, setting them up for the final clash against Ainonvi FC.
With their qualification, Edo Queens will now represent Nigeria at the prestigious CAF Women’s Champions League, where they will compete against top clubs from across Africa.
