Nigerian striker David Okereke is eager to increase his goal tally for Turkish side Gaziantep, starting with their upcoming match against İstanbul Başakşehir.
Since joining on loan from Cremonese, Okereke has scored just once in six Turkish Super Lig games. While he has shown promise, he’s determined to contribute more goals to the team.
“Scoring goals is crucial for me,” Okereke stated. “I aim to help the team by finding the net more often. I’m particularly focused on scoring against Başakşehir and securing a victory,” Okereke told the fans.
Okereke will have the opportunity to fulfill his promise when Gaziantep hosts Başakşehir on November 23rd after the international break.
The striker, who recently recovered from a thigh injury, is aiming to regain his starting position. After a series of inconsistent performances and loan spells in Italy, Okereke is hoping to establish himself as a key player for Gaziantep.
