AC Milan manager Rúben Amorim appears keen to retain Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze for the 2026/27 season after reportedly excluding the Nigerian international from the club’s transfer list.
The Rossoneri will face Premier League side Manchester United in Wrocław, Poland, on Saturday in their final pre-season friendly before the new campaign begins.
According to reports, Amorim has informed seven players that they are not part of his plans for the forthcoming season. The players are Christopher Nkunku, Fikayo Tomori, Youssouf Fofana, David Odogu, Santiago Giménez, Pervis Estupiñán and Filippo Terracciano. They could be sold before the summer transfer window closes.
Chukwueze spent last season on loan at Fulham, where he impressed during his spell with the London club. Since returning to Milan, the 27-year-old has featured prominently in Amorim’s pre-season plans, starting friendly matches against Chelsea and Inter Milan before coming off the bench in the 2-2 draw with Scottish champions Celtic.

His involvement throughout pre-season suggests that he could have a role to play at San Siro during the new campaign.
However, despite appearing to be part of Amorim’s plans, Milan could still consider concrete offers for the Nigeria international before the transfer window closes.
On the other hand, Portuguese winger Raphael Leao will not be a part of the encounter having being ruled out due to a muscle injury.
