D’Tigers power forward, Chimezie Metu and American Kevin Punter combined for 33 points to propel FC Barcelona Basquet to a 100-86 win over Valencia Basket in a Spanish Lisa ACB clash on Sunday.
Barcelona dominated the game winning the first three quarters 25-19, 27-18, and 30-28 before being outscored 21-18 in the final quarter.
Both players started the game off the bench after head coach Joan Peñarroya opted for Jabari Parker, Joel Perra, Darío Brizuela, Tomáš Satoranský and Youssoupha Fall in his starting five.
Metu scored 16 points, six rebounds, and two assists while Punter added a team-high 17 points. Satoranský added 12 points, Fall and Parker added 11 points, while Brizuela dropped 10 points in the win.

The victory is Barcelona’s 11th of the season which sees them move to seventh on the log.
Guard Chris Jones scored a game-high 19 points, six assists, and four rebounds for Valencia but it was not enough for the win. Matt Costello added 16 points while Nathan Sestina and Nathan Reuvers both added 11 points apiece.
Former Boston Celtics small forward added five points, three rebounds,s and one assist in the loss.
