Chiamaka Nnadozie’s stunning stop against Liverpool has been nominated for the Women’s Super League (WSL) British Gas Save of the Season award.

The Super Falcons goalkeeper has kept six clean sheets in her debut campaign with Brighton, and could add another achievement to her growing collection of honors.

Nnadozie earns the recognition for a breathtaking, acrobatic save against the Reds, a moment that proved crucial in her team’s eventual 1–1 draw at the St Helens Stadium in November.

The 25-year-old showed elite athleticism to tip Fuka Nagano’s powerful long-range effort onto the crossbar, denying what looked certain to be Liverpool’s second goal of the afternoon. The save kept Brighton in the contest before they struck late to rescue a point after Beata Olsson had earlier given Liverpool the lead.

The impressive stop already earned the WSL save of the month for November 2025. Nnadozie beat off competition from Sabrina D’Angelo, Faye Kirby, and Ayaka Yamashita to claim the award that month.

This time, the Nigerian International will be competing with Janina Leitzig, Daphne Van Domselaar, Elene Lete, Anneke Borbe, and Ayaka Yamashita.

Supporters can make their selection for the WSL save of the season on the league’s official website.
