Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea are reportedly vying for the signature of Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman during the summer transfer window according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.
According to the Italian outlet, Atalanta might be open to selling their star player for the right price. Reports suggest they’d accept a fee of €60 million, which all three Premier League clubs are reportedly willing to pay.
Since joining Atalanta two years ago, Lookman has blossomed into one of Europe’s top wingers. He’s scored a remarkable 34 goals, surpassing his combined total from his previous five seasons with RB Leipzig, Everton, Fulham, and Leicester City.
Lookman has also notched 18 assists in all competitions for Atalanta, matching his career total since turning professional with Charlton Athletic in 2017.
His crowning moment came in the UEFA Europa League final, where he netted a hat-trick to secure a 3-0 victory for Atalanta over Bayer Leverkusen. This stellar performance further amplified his profile on the European stage.
Lookman’s move to Italy proved to be a turning point in his career. After failing to establish himself at Everton in 2017, he went on loan to RB Leipzig, who eventually signed him permanently for €18 million in 2019.
However, his time at the German club was challenging, leading to loan spells with Fulham and Leicester City before finally finding a permanent home at Atalanta in 2022.
