The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has disqualified Beyond Limits Football Academy from participating in the upcoming 2024/2025 season due to concerns regarding dual ownership.
Beyond Limits Football Academy and Remo Stars, another NPFL club, share a common ownership. This dual interest violates Rule B11.4 of the NPFL Framework and Rules. As a result, the slot previously held by Beyond Limits Football Academy has been forfeited.
Heartland FC, the only relegated club to express interest in filling the vacancy, has been granted the vacant slot. This decision aligns with Rule A5.2, which outlines the criteria for club participation.

The NPFL wishes to clarify that there was no purchase of the slot, as such practices are strictly prohibited. The league remains committed to maintaining a fair and competitive environment.
While the NPFL rules may not cover every possible scenario, the board has used its discretion to make decisions that are in the best interests of the league and its stakeholders.
The NPFL will continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ensure that all actions taken are consistent with our commitment to fairness and the integrity of the competition.
