Bendel Insurance have strengthened their squad for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season after completing the signings of forwards Terdoo Shimagande and Joseph Godstime on two-year contracts from Niger Tornadoes, Boldsports report.

‎The Benin Arsenal confirmed both arrivals as they continue preparations for the new campaign. Shimagande joins after an impressive season in which he scored six goals in 26 NPFL appearances to help Niger Tornadoes finish 14th with 48 points. Godstime also brings valuable experience, having made 35 appearances for the Minna club, scoring six goals and providing three assists during his spell there.

‎At just 20 years old, Shimagande has already built experience across several NPFL clubs. He previously featured for Lobi Stars before joining Nasarawa United in 2024. During the January transfer window of the same season, he moved to Heartland FC before completing a switch to Niger Tornadoes for the 2025/26 campaign.

‎His six-goal return last season highlighted his growing influence in the final third, and Bendel Insurance will hope he can continue that form as they target a strong league campaign.

‎Godstime, 22, arrives with a proven understanding of the Nigerian top flight. Although he did not score in his 11 league appearances last season, he recorded six goals and three assists across 35 matches during his time with Niger Tornadoes.

‎His versatility and experience are expected to provide Bendel Insurance with greater attacking options throughout the season.

‎Two proven forwards signed from Niger Tornadoes. Fresh hunger. One mission—to give everything for the badge and our incredible community.

‎Welcome to Benin. Let’s get to work.

‎Adaaa Bendel!”

‎The arrivals underline Bendel Insurance’s ambition to strengthen their squad ahead of the new NPFL season. Supporters will now hope both forwards can make an immediate impact as the club looks to compete strongly in the league.
