Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman is in the form of his life, scoring a brace and providing an assist as Juventus pegged Atalanta back to a 3-3 draw in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.
The Nigerian gave Atalanta an early lead in the fifth minute, beating Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny to the near post after a right footed shot.
The goal was the Nigerian’s 10th of the season, making him the fourth Atalanta player to score 10 or more goals after 19 league games in his first Serie A season.
Angel Di Maria however pulled the Turin giants level in the 25th minute from the penalty spot after the VAR had awarded a spot kick to the hosts.
Milik put the hosts ahead 10 minutes later, taking both sides to the half time break with Juventus 2-1 ahead.
The visitors however responded immediately after the resumption of the second half, finding the back of the net through Joakim Mæhle after an assist by the impressive Lookman.
Lookman put Atalanta ahead in the 52nd minute – to score his 11th goal of the season – guiding his header into the right corner while leaving an helpless Szczęsny stranded.
Juventus who were only docked 15 points on Friday however pulled level through Danilo in the 65th minute, leaving both sides to settle for a 3-3 draw.
The draw lifts Atalanta to fifth on the league table, with 35 points, two behind third-placed Inter Milan, while Juventus are now ninth with 23 points.
Lookman is currently second on the Italian top scorers chat, only behind compatriot Victor Osimhen who is on 13 goals.
