Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has emerged as Inter Milan’s top attacking target this summer, with the club preparing a firm €40m offer to Atalanta, Bold Sports reports.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter have opened talks with Atalanta and are building their proposal around a promise reportedly made to Lookman last summer, as well as a recent offer submitted by the player’s representatives.

While Atalanta are demanding at least €50m, Inter are holding firm at €40m and are unwilling to go higher—regardless of player departures.

Lookman has already given his approval to the move, and Inter are keen to wrap up the deal quickly to avoid dragging negotiations into late summer. If talks stall, the Champions League finalists may turn to alternative targets such as Fiorentina’s Nico González, while Atalanta are also monitoring the Argentine as a possible replacement for Lookman.

Jadon Sancho and Christopher Nkunku have also been offered to Inter, but club sources say the focus remains firmly on the Nigerian forward.

Lookman scored a historic hat-trick in the 2024 UEFA Europa League final and has been one of Atalanta’s standout players, attracting attention across Europe.

Among the clubs interested in the reigning African Player of the Year are Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Liverpool.
