Ayo Dosunmu powered the Minnesota Timberwolves to their second consecutive victory, recording a game-high 21 points in their 117-107 win over the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center in Houston.

While the Rockets, who have enjoyed an impressive start to the season, were chasing a third straight victory, the Timberwolves were looking to build on their momentum following their win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Dosunmu earned a place in the starting lineup for the second consecutive game due to the absence of star guard Anthony Edwards, who suffered a right knee injury and is expected to be sidelined for up to two months.

However, Minnesota delivered a dominant performance in the final quarter, outscoring their hosts 35-23 to seal an impressive 10-point victory.

It was a strong all-round performance from the Timberwolves, with Dosunmu leading the way with 21 points, six assists and two steals. LaMelo Ball contributed 20 points, six assists and three steals, while Bones Hyland added 19 points. Jonathan Kuminga and Jaden McDaniels chipped in with 16 and 14 points, respectively, while Jaylen Clark finished with 10 points.

For the Rockets, Kevin Durant led the scoring with 21 points, while guard Fred VanVleet contributed 18.
