SK Beveren have added Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji to their attack. The 26-year-old forward joins the Belgian club on loan from Real Salt Lake.
His loan deal runs until the end of the 2026/27 season. Olatunji arrives with experience from several European leagues and competitions.
Nigerian striker brings proven goalscoring record
Olatunji stands at 1m93 and offers a powerful presence up front. Across 220 matches, the Nigerian centre-forward has scored 47 goals.
His career has taken him through Slovakia, Austria and Cyprus. He then moved to Slovan Liberec in the Czech Republic in 2023.
Olatunji’s performances at Slovan Liberec led to a move to Sparta Prague. The striker continued his development at the Czech club.
He also gained valuable European experience there. Olatunji featured in both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
After his time in the Czech Republic, he moved to Major League Soccer. Real Salt Lake became his next club.
Now, SK Beveren have secured his services for the 2026/27 campaign.
Pace and power strengthen Beveren attack

Olatunji gives SK Beveren several attacking qualities. His physical strength makes him a strong option in the penalty area.
However, his game also relies heavily on pace. He likes to attack the space behind opposing defences.
The Nigerian forward can also threaten around the box. His work rate adds another important element to his profile.
SK Beveren expect him to contribute without possession too. His pressing ability can help the team defend from the front.
General Manager Sports Bob Peeters explained why the club wanted Olatunji.
“Victor brings a number of qualities we wanted to add to our attack. At 1m93, he is physically strong, but he pairs that presence primarily with speed and explosiveness. He constantly looks to exploit the space behind the defence, gets into the box a lot, and has proven throughout his career that he can score goals.“
The SK Beveren sporting chief then pointed to the striker’s work rate without the ball.
“Even without the ball, he fits what we expect from our forwards. He puts in a lot of work, presses the opponent with intensity, and takes his responsibility as the first line of defence in doing so. In our conversations, we also got to know Victor as a warm personality who comes to Beveren with a clear mission.”
Peeters also explained what Olatunji’s arrival means for the squad.
“With his arrival, our squad is complete, and we are convinced that we have given the coaching staff the tools they need to achieve our objectives.”
Olatunji now begins a new chapter with SK Beveren. His arrival completes the club’s squad for the upcoming campaign.
