Nigeria’s Falconets have arrived in Katowice for the final phase of their preparations ahead of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
The Nigerian team left their training base in Trzebnica on Thursday and moved into the Novotel Katowice Centrum, with their opening Group F match against Spain scheduled for Monday.
The Falconets spent 10 days in Trzebnica, where head coach Moses Aduku and his technical crew worked on the players’ tactical organisation, physical conditioning and overall team cohesion.
Nigeria also played two friendly matches during the training camp, recording a win and a draw without defeat.

Mary Mamudu scored the only goal as the Falconets defeated hosts Poland 1-0 last Friday before finding the net again in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Korea Republic.
The friendly matches allowed Aduku to assess his squad against different opposition and helped the players adjust to the weather and playing conditions in Poland.
The two-time World Cup runners-up will begin their campaign against Spain in Sosnowiec on Monday.
Nigeria will remain in Sosnowiec to face China PR on September 10 before travelling to Łódź for their final Group F match against New Caledonia on September 13.
The 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup begins in Poland on Saturday.
