Nigeria’s Super Falcons will take on Ghana’s Black Queens in a friendly match in Casablanca on Saturday, the final test in their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off in Morocco on Sunday, July 26.

The reigning champions, who have lifted the WAFCON trophy a record 10 times, opened camp in Casablanca on Monday as they finalise preparations for their tournament opener against Malawi, scheduled for Rabat on Tuesday, July 28.

By lunchtime on Tuesday, 10 players had checked into the Super Falcons’ team hotel in Casablanca. Midfielder Toni Payne, who recently completed a move to Inter Milan Women from Everton Ladies, is expected to link up with the squad on Wednesday.

Players currently in camp include captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeepers Chiamaka Nnadozie and Fatima Oloko, defenders Oluwatosin Demehin, Glory Ogbonna, Christy Ucheibe, Shukurat Oladipo and Rofiat Imuran, midfielder Jennifer Echegini, and forward Asisat Oshoala.

Nigeria will begin their title defence against Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium on July 28, before returning to the same venue four days later to face Zambia on August 1. The Super Falcons will then close out their group campaign against Egypt at the Olympic Stadium on August 5.
