Arsenal winger Noni Madueke has named Super Eagles right-back Ola Aina as the toughest full-back he has faced in his career.
Speaking in an interview with TNT Sports, the England international was asked to identify his most challenging opponent at full-back – and he did not hesitate in singling out the Nottingham Forest defender.
“I’m going to give Ola Aina his flowers,” Madueke said. “I’ve played against him a couple of times, he’s always tough. Mad strong, mad physical. But he’s also good on the ball. Some people probably wouldn’t give him the credit for that.”

Aina has earned widespread recognition as one of the Premier League’s standout right-backs, particularly during the 2024/25 campaign when he played a key role in helping Forest secure Europa League qualification.
Although he has featured less this season due to a hamstring injury that sidelined him for 117 days, his impact when fit has remained undeniable.
Madueke, who joined Arsenal in the summer, is widely regarded as one of the league’s most elusive wingers. Known for his explosive pace and ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations, the 23-year-old’s praise further underlines the quality Aina brings defensively.
The 29-year-old Nigerian’s performances have not gone unnoticed across England. Last season, he attracted interest from both Manchester City and Liverpool.
City reportedly viewed him as a short-term option to provide cover for Kyle Walker, while Liverpool considered him a potential successor to Trent Alexander-Arnold following his move to Real Madrid.
