As the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco heads into its decisive stage, Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman has emerged as the tournament’s most influential attacker in terms of goal involvement.

The Atalanta forward has recorded seven direct goal contributions, scoring three goals and providing four assists for the Super Eagles.

Close behind Lookman is fellow Nigerian star Victor Osimhen, whose performances have been equally vital to Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 campaign. The Napoli striker has contributed six goals and assists combined, finding the net four times and registering two assists as the Super Eagles push for a place in the final.

The race for the top goal contributors at AFCON 2025 remains intense. Morocco’s Brahim Díaz and Egypt captain Mohamed Salah have both registered five goal involvements, keeping them firmly in contention.

Several other high-profile players are also enjoying strong tournaments, including Nigeria’s Akor Adams, Senegal’s Sadio Mané, Ivory Coast’s Amad Diallo, and Morocco’s Ayoub El-Kaabi, all with four direct contributions.

Attention now turns to the AFCON 2025 semi-finals, where Nigeria will face host nation Morocco in a highly anticipated showdown. The other semi-final will see Senegal take on Egypt, with both sides battling for a place in the final.
