Tickets for Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations group game against Tunisia at the Fez Stadium have been completely sold out, despite earlier concerns about poor fan turnout at the tournament.
The development comes ahead of Saturday’s encounter, which is shaping up to be one of the most important fixtures in the group. Both Nigeria and Tunisia began their AFCON campaigns with victories and are level on three points, making the match crucial in the race for qualification to the knockout stage.
Nigeria opened their account with a 2–1 win over Tanzania, thanks to goals from Semi Ajayi and Ademola Lookman, while Tunisia produced a confident 3–1 victory against Uganda. With only one more group game to follow, a win in Fez would put either side in a strong position to reach the round of 16.

Information on the Confederation of African Football’s ticketing portal showed that all available categories for the match had been fully booked, even though attendance figures at previous games have been relatively low. Nigeria’s opening match, for instance, drew just over 11,444 spectators in a stadium that can hold 40,000 fans.
Reacting to the situation, ESPN journalist Colin Udoh wrote on X: “Tickets for Nigeria’s game against Tunisia are sold out. Could that be the Tunisia fans making the short flight over to support the Carthage Eagles? Or just Moroccans in love with the Super Eagles? Is this a good or not-so-good thing for Nigeria?”
Tunisia coach Sami Trabelsi has also spoken positively about the welcome his team has received in Morocco, as anticipation builds for a fully packed stadium in Fez.
