Asisat Oshoala scored a dramatic 93rd-minute winner to hand Al Hilal a thrilling 3-2 victory over Ashleigh Plumptre’s Al-Ittihad in their Saudi Women’s Premier League clash on Thursday at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh.

Both Super Falcons stars started for their respective sides, but it was the visitors who struck first in the 25th minute through Leticia Nunes.

Al-Ittihad’s Jessica Silva then stole the spotlight with a brace, leveling the game in the 40th minute before putting her side ahead five minutes after the restart.

The hosts fought back late on, with Lina Boussaha netting an 85th-minute equaliser to set up a tense finale. But Oshoala had the final say, striking in stoppage time to seal all three points for Al Hilal and leave Al-Ittihad no chance to respond.

The victory marked Al Hilal’s fourth of the season, keeping them unbeaten and firmly at the top of the league after four matches. Meanwhile, Al-Ittihad suffered their second defeat of the campaign, slipping to fourth place on the table.

The night was even more special for Oshoala, who had just been presented with the League’s Player of the Month award ahead of kickoff — a recognition she fittingly celebrated with her decisive late strike.
