Chelsea have ended their pursuit of Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

After weeks of complex negotiations involving a potential swap deal with Romelu Lukaku and a substantial cash payment, the Blues have opted to focus their efforts elsewhere.

Instead, Chelsea have set their sights on Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion. The club is actively working to secure a deal for the promising young talent.

Napoli, while still keen on acquiring Lukaku to appease new manager Antonio Conte, understands that selling Osimhen is a prerequisite for any significant investment in a new striker.

Despite Chelsea’s withdrawal, the race for Osimhen is far from over. Paris Saint-Germain remains interested, Arsenal could re-enter the bidding, and there’s ongoing interest from Saudi Arabian clubs.

However, the Nigerian striker is reportedly hesitant about a move to the Middle East.
