Super Eagles forward Yira Sor has returned to team training at Amedspor after approximately six weeks out with an injury. His comeback offers the Turkish club a potential attacking boost ahead of Saturday’s Super Lig clash against Konyaspor, Bold Sports reports.

Sor scored once in his first three league appearances for Amedspor. The Nigerian winger netted during their 2-1 victory over Trabzonspor on August 31, 2026. However, that match also marked the start of his injury absence. His return could strengthen Amedspor’s attack as they prepare for their next league fixture.

Yira Sor Returns After Six Weeks Out

Sor sustained the injury during Amedspor’s encounter with Trabzonspor in the third week of the league season. He subsequently underwent treatment and missed several matches while recovering.

The 26-year-old has now rejoined his teammates in training. His progress comes as Amedspor intensify preparations for their meeting with Konyaspor.

However, his return to competitive action is not yet guaranteed. Head coach Besnik Hasi must assess his fitness before deciding whether to include the Nigerian in Saturday’s squad.

Amedspor previously avoided risking Sor in their match against Gençlerbirliği. The coaching staff will therefore need to determine whether he has recovered sufficiently to handle competitive football.

Besnik Hasi and Amadou Cisse Return

Amedspor have received further encouragement ahead of the Konyaspor fixturje. Defender Amadou Cisse have completed his suspensions following his red cards against Beşiktaş.

His return gives the team additional options as they seek to improve their overall performance. Hasi’s presence on the touchline could also help restore tactical stability.

Amedspor Target Another Home Victory

Amedspor will host Konyaspor on Saturday, October 17, hoping to extend their unbeaten home run. The club also wants to improve its position in the league standings.

A victory would help Amedspor create more distance from the teams near the bottom. It could also reduce the gap between them and the higher-ranked sides.

The return of Sor and Cisse offers the team additional options in attack, defence and tactical organisation. Nevertheless, Amedspor must translate those positive developments into a strong performance on the pitch.

For Sor, the immediate priority will be regaining full match fitness. After scoring once in his first three league appearances before his injury, the Nigerian forward will hope to resume his promising start.

His availability against Konyaspor remains uncertain. The final decision rests with Hasi and his technical staff.
