Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie delivered another standout performance as Brighton booked their place in the semifinals of the Women’s FA Cup with a 2-0 victory over Arsenal on Sunday, Bold Sports reports.
The 25-year-old Nigerian shot-stopper recorded her third consecutive clean sheet, having also shut out Leicester City and Liverpool in Brighton’s previous league fixtures. Her assured display against the European champions once again underlined her growing influence between the sticks.
Despite Arsenal dominating possession in the opening half, Brighton created the clearer chances, with neither side able to break the deadlock before the interval. The visitors, however, made a quick start to the second half, taking the lead just three minutes after the restart through Madison Haley, who finished brilliantly to put Brighton ahead.

Arsenal responded with a triple substitution in the 58th minute as they searched for a way back into the contest. But Brighton doubled their advantage five minutes later when Caitlin Hayes headed home from a well-delivered cross by Fran Kirby, giving the visitors control of the tie.
The hosts continued to press for a comeback, but Brighton’s defensive resilience proved difficult to break down. Nnadozie was called into action on a couple of occasions and produced a series of impressive saves to keep her clean sheet. Although she picked up a slight knock late in the game, the goalkeeper was able to continue and see out the victory.
The result secures Brighton’s place in the final four of the competition, while Arsenal will now shift their attention to their European campaign and the Women Super League (WSL), where they currently sit third.
Nnadozie now has eight clean sheets in 18 appearances across all competitions this season. She is also joint-top for the most clean sheets in the Women’s FA Cup (2).
