Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers have officially confirmed the signing of Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare from Belgian side Genk, Bold Sports reports.
The 24-year-old has penned a four-year contract with Wolves, which also includes an option for an additional season. The deal is reportedly valued at £22.4 million, with a potential £1 million in performance-related add-ons.
Arokodare spent over three years in the Belgian Pro League with Genk, initially managing two goals and one assist in 11 appearances during his early months before recording 15 goals and two assists across 52 matches in his first full season.
The Nigerian enjoyed a breakout campaign last season, finding the net 23 times and registering five assists in 45 appearances across all competitions. His remarkable form earned him the Belgian Pro League Golden Boot as the league’s top scorer and the Ebony Shoe, an award given to the best African player in Belgium.

Before moving to Belgium, Arokodare featured for Amiens in France’s Ligue 2, where he bagged 13 goals and two assists in his debut season and added eight goals in 23 outings during the first half of the 2022-23 campaign.
The Super Eagles striker also had a brief spell in the Bundesliga with FC Köln, making 11 appearances during his time there. Prior to that, he made his name at Valmiera FC in Latvia, where he scored an impressive 22 goals in 34 games.
Arokodare now becomes the latest Nigerian international to feature in the Premier League, joining Nottingham Forest duo Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi, as well as Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi at Fulham.
